The 3-day Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst training program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills to analyze, visualize, and report data effectively using Power BI.

Day 1:

On Day 1, the course covers essential concepts of data analytics and introduces Power BI. It starts with an overview of Microsoft’s data analytics tools and the basics of Power BI. Participants learn how to import and optimize data in Power BI, handle performance issues, and resolve data errors. The day also includes practical sessions on cleaning, transforming, and loading data, focusing on shaping and profiling the data for better structure. Finally, the course covers the fundamentals of data modeling, including working with tables, dimensions, and hierarchies. Hands-on labs throughout the day help participants apply their learning in Power BI Desktop, ensuring they gain practical experience in data preparation and modeling.

Day 2:

On Day 2, the course dives deeper into advanced Power BI concepts and functionalities. It begins with an introduction to DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating model calculations and real-time dashboards, followed by hands-on labs to apply basic and advanced DAX techniques. The course then covers optimizing Power BI models for performance, including DirectQuery optimization. Participants learn how to design and enhance interactive reports in Power BI, with a focus on report formatting and interactivity through lab exercises. The day concludes with the creation and enhancement of dashboards, including real-time dashboards in the Power BI Service, offering practical experience in dashboard design and optimization.

Day 3:

On Day 3, the course expands on more advanced Power BI features. It begins with Module 9, where participants learn to identify patterns and trends using advanced analytics and AI visuals in Power BI, followed by a lab focused on data analysis. Module 10 covers how to create and manage workspaces in Power BI, including sharing and managing assets. Module 11 focuses on managing files and datasets, including the use of parameters and datasets in Power BI. The day concludes with Module 12, which introduces row-level security in Power BI, ensuring data security and user-specific access. Through labs and practical exercises, participants gain hands-on experience with these advanced features.
