What is the eligibility?

To be eligible for the Level 5 Certificate in Observed Teaching Practice (TEFL), applicants must meet the following requirements:
Prior Qualification: You must have already completed the Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL Academy). This program is specifically designed for new teachers who have finished that initial certification.
English Language Proficiency: If your first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.5 (or an equivalent qualification) is recommended.
The qualification is aimed at novice teachers, focusing on supporting their practice through reflection and self-evaluation

The Level 5 Certificate in Observed Teaching Practice (TEFL) contains one unit.

Session 1: Fundamentals of TEFL Practice

This unit develops practical teaching competence for new TEFL teachers through supervised teaching practice, reflection, and self-evaluation. Learners apply lesson planning, classroom delivery, learner-centered teaching, materials selection, and language skills development to strengthen their professional teaching practice. The qualification includes 1 mandatory unit: Fundamentals of TEFL Practice, with 110 TQT, 11 credits, and 41 GLH.
