CFA Level 3

The CFA Level 3 exam is the third and final examination in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. Unlike the previous levels, Level 3 emphasizes constructed-response (essay) questions alongside item-set questions, requiring candidates to analyze complex investment scenarios and justify their recommendations. What is the eligibility?

To be eligible for the CFA Level 3 exam, candidates must have successfully passed CFA Level 2 and meet the CFA Institute's enrollment requirements. Additionally, they must comply with the CFA Program's policies and maintain an active registration for the Level 3 examination. Successfully passing Level 3, together with completing the required professional work experience and obtaining CFA Institute membership, qualifies candidates to earn the CFA Charter.
