What is the Eligibility?

To be eligible for the PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification, candidates must meet one of the following eligibility pathways before applying for the examination:

  • Pathway 1: Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate's degree, or global equivalent), 40 months of professional project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, and 40 hours of formal education in project scheduling.
  • Pathway 2: Four-year degree (bachelor's degree or global equivalent), 24 months of professional project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, and 30 hours of formal education in project scheduling.
  • Pathway 3: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree from a PMI Global Accreditation Center (GAC) accredited program (or global equivalent), 12 months of professional project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, and 30 hours of formal education in project scheduling.

These eligibility requirements ensure that candidates possess the education, practical scheduling experience, and specialized knowledge needed to demonstrate professional competence in project scheduling.
