Course structure

Module 1: Listening

What is the Exam Information?

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a globally recognized English proficiency test designed for individuals seeking education, employment, or migration opportunities in English-speaking countries. It assesses four key language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. IELTS is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English. The test is available in Academic and General Training formats and can be taken at official test centers or on computer, with multiple test dates available throughout the year.

Exam Format & Duration

The IELTS test consists of four main sections:

Listening – 40 questions (30 minutes + 10 minutes transfer time for paper-based test)
Reading – 40 questions (60 minutes)
Writing – 2 tasks (60 minutes)
Speaking – 3-part face-to-face interview (11–14 minutes)

The Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are completed on the same day, while the Speaking test may be conducted on the same day or within 7 days before or after the main test date.
